Network Marketing

Network Marketing is a hugely successful dominating Direct Sales which has revenues of US$100bil operating in 100 countries of the world. This industry has grown by more than ten times in the last thirty years. Nearly every major Direct Sales company operates a Network Marketing programme.

After 50 years of establishment, Network Marketing is evolving and has entered a new stage in its lifecycle called the Shakeout. The industry will be dominated by a small number of global companies. The power of these global companies has raised the barriers to entry and survival of companies. Companies that cannot compete will die, thus the name ‘Shakeout’.

Read Edward Ludbrook’s recently updated million-selling book called the Shakeout-Big Picture on the future of the Network Marketing.

The two key strategic developments defining success in the Shakeout stage are:
  1. revenue focus on customers where previously the revenue focus was on the network
  2. new network franchise systems based on a new network strategy based on learning skills first.

The Shakeout stage is normally the largest growth stage and the most profitable [for those in the right company operating the correct business]. This is clearly seen with the Internet based companies after their establishment stage ‘dot com’ boom. The expected results are predicted to be:
  1. Revenues should at least double to US$200bil by 2020
  2. Substantial growth in large companies
  3. Dramatic increase in retention
  4. Dramatic increase in productivity. Global productivity will not increase due to expansion in developing countries yet established countries should see productivity increases of many times.
  5. Reduction in numbers of Networkers - less people doing a lot more making a lot more money.
  6. Emergence of a ‘middle class’ in networking of people earning attractive stable ‘management’ level incomes
  7. New public credibility based on the ‘networked’ news of success
